Between the Lines

Some clients, over time, become so much more than clients.
They become partners in the journey.

The opportunity to design a second home for these clients was particularly meaningful. The trust had already been established, our understanding of one another had deepened, and we were able to embark on a new journey together—with a more profound appreciation of their personalities, needs, and way of life.

The project emerged from the interplay of lines, materials, colours, and textures, as well as the contrasts that come together to create a distinctive design language with character and presence.

Smoky shades of grey meet accents of rust orange. Organic lines intertwine with graphic rhythms, while sculptural furniture and carefully considered lighting bring depth and intrigue to the space. Each choice adds another layer to the home’s design narrative.

The public living areas were conceived as an open, harmonious flow, connecting the living room and dining area while preserving the distinct identity of each space. The TV wall, incorporating an electric fireplace and a display cabinet, creates a striking focal point. Meanwhile, the interplay of smoky tones, rich materials, and warm accents strikes a delicate balance between drama and softness, between bold design statements and the welcoming atmosphere of home.

Here, too, it is the finer details that bring the entire composition together—from the lines that define the walls to the carefully selected lighting, furniture, and textiles. Together, they create a cohesive design language defined by contrast, movement, and harmony.

Yet beyond the lines, materials, and design choices, this project tells another story.

It is about the privilege of reconnecting with the same people, guiding them through a new chapter in their lives, and continuing a story that began in one home and now finds a new expression in another.
